We aim to strenghten democracy via citizens empowerment! Informing, engaging, and creating impact on all types of societal topics.
ECHO is the platform where you can find e-learnings about all different types of topics we think you might find interesting and useful. We make sure theory is connected with practice. Via examples and best practices, we show you, how different countries tackle certain issues.

The idea for this event grew out of a wish to combine the strengths of the research platform Charge and VoltThere. The event is inspired by the report 'Keeping Democracy in the Race: How Emerging Technologies Can Strengthen Citizen Participation in Democratic Decision Making', published by Charge.

FAQ
The ECHO modules are built to be a fun and interactive journey through the political and societal field. Learning should be fun, not a task on your to-do list. Instead of listening to a lecture and perhaps discussing the topics once afterwards, we give you different forms of communication, and you can repeat the module as many times as you would like.
Definitely! The idea of ECHO is that you can learn at your own pace, and you can thus fit it in your schedule. There is no time limit in which you have to complete a course.
You will receive a certification if you choose to follow a whole curriculum. On the certificate, it will mention which modules you followed to receive the certificate.
ECHO is fully free! You do not have to pay any amount to follow a module. The platform is built with the idea that everyone can have access to this information, therefore all modules are free for everyone. However, if you like the ECHO and would like to support us, we appreciate your support, and you can donate any amount here.
The modules are designed in a fun and interactive way for everyone who wants to learn more about political and societal field. This means that ECHO modules are for all ages.
Our modules are developed to get a better understanding of the basics of democracy, politics, and societal topics. We will be adding more and more modules that will also cover other topics and will go more in-depth in already existing topics.
